What phase of life covers
Relationship status
Single, dating, married or partnered, divorced or separated, widowed. Married and partnered members are matched for friendship, groups and mentoring only.
Kids' ages
No kids, little ones, school age, teenagers, grown. Parents of kids the same age share a calendar.
Work
Student, working full time, part time, self-employed or retired. It shapes when you're free and what's on your mind.
How much it matters
You choose. For some people a similar phase is everything; for others it barely matters.
Why age is a light touch
For dating, you set an age range. For friends, age only gently nudges the match after a ten-year gap, and never rules anyone out. Mentoring ignores age entirely.
That's on purpose. Some of the best friendships cross a decade or two, especially when the circumstances line up.
