Certificates that count
A state teaching certificate is required for public-school teacher slots and counts once entered with its number. In Texas, TEA's certificate lookup is where verification checks. Private and charter schools can hire without one where the law allows; pick the tutor or instructional slot if you don't hold one.

Do I need a certificate to tutor?
No. Tutoring has no state certificate requirement in the app.
