How it works in finance and insurance
Licenses that count
An insurance agent license is required for agent slots; it counts once entered with its number. Mortgage loan originator licenses (NMLS), adjuster licenses and Series 7, 65 or 66 can be listed. In Texas, TDI licenses agents and adjusters.
Discreet by design
Finance is a small world. Nobody can browse profiles, and you can block your current employer by name, including every manager there.
Your money stays yours
Pay history is never asked, and nothing asks about your own finances. Pay ranges stay private and only have to be close.
Trade partners
Advisors, CPAs, attorneys and insurance agents serve the same clients. Referral circles keep one seat per profession.
Branch hiring
Branch managers see one candidate at a time and meet in person instead of screening calls.
Peers
Underwriters, adjusters and analysts at different firms compare notes, never with a direct competitor in their market if they pick that kind.
Roles with detailed checklists
Each starts your skills checklist from O*NET's work activities and tools for the role. Not listed? Pick your occupation anyway; the picker covers every field.
Project and contract work. Bookkeeping clean-ups, claims surges and consulting with a set scope of $2,500 and up run as project work. How project work runs
